There’s an exhibit at the Rice Gallery right now called Dans la Lune, a large-scale installment of enormous, paper pendants.  Everything in the exhibit is hand-made out of paper lit from within: larger-than-life gems and crystals, intricate chains, complex accordianed paper globes.  Each pendant is its own panorama, and the longer you look the more you see.  A small paper swing hanging from a branch.  A cameo.  A hanging gazebo with a woman leading a horse inside.  All made of paper.  It’s pretty amazing.

If you are a Houston person I recommend stopping to see the exhibit.  It’s a good study break.
